Nestling between the Sierra de Lugar and the majestic snow capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountain range; you will find your holiday Cortijo (country house) Los Olivos, which offers the perfect setting for a "get away from it all" holiday.
This beautiful area has the cleanest air in Europe and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO.
Your holiday home, Los Olivos, is southerly facing and offers magnificent 360° views of the valley and mountain ranges beyond. Having been built recently, in traditional Alpujarran style, Los Olivos is a secluded three double bedroom villa. Surrounding the villa is your own private pool (for the sole use of Los Olivos guests), sun terraces and bbq area. Indulge in glass or two of Rioja, or the local wine Costa on the terrace or by the pool. Absorb the breathtaking views and relax in the calm and tranquillity of Las Alpujarras.
Situated only fifteen minutes car drive or a twenty-five minute walk away from the bustling market town of Orgiva, capital of the Western Alpujarras. You can enjoy seclusion yet have access to all amenities, such as shops, the lively Thursday street market, banks (ATMs), internet cafes, restaurants and bars.
Historic Granada and the awe-inspiring Alhambra Palace are only one hour away to the north, and the ski resort of the Sierra Nevada is thirty minutes further on. The famous spa town of Lanjaron is only twenty five minutes drive from Finca El Gales. You can find the beaches of the south coast, and the resorts of Salobreña and Almunecar within a forty five minute drive to the south.
As your hosts, we aim to ensure your holiday is as relaxed or busy as you wish. The area offers wonderful walking, horse riding, golf courses within forty five minutes and many scenic drives. The famous Pueblos Blancos (White villages) of Spain are only a short drive away or for the more adventurous, the region offers activities ranging from mountain biking, paragliding to skiing. We will be happy to offer information on the area and activities you may wish to try.
We are an English and Spanish family who have relocated from London to enjoy a different pace and style of life. We instantly fell in love with this enchanting area and we have no doubts that you will too!
